So I have pokemon black 2, it's a fake copy with one of those red bar things on the back as well as a mini card in the right. It's not legit and whenever I open pokemon transporter it doesn't register the game. Is there a way to work around this so I can move my pokemon from black 2 to pokmeon bank and then finally to pokemon home?

So why are you calling this a "GBATEMP copy"?

You should be able to dump the save data with Checkpoint and then use the patches from the link in my last post.

It's not possible to transfer to Pokémon Bank normally since that cart is actually just a flashcard with the ROM on it. You can however copy the save file to the SD card and transfer using either PKSM to transfer from the 3DS's SD.

It's actually easier to do it with ROMs run from TWiLight Menu++ than it is from a flashcard like that since you'll need the save file on the SD card when doing the transfer. Your options are basically either play the game from TWiLight Menu++ or play it from the flashcard and copy the save file back and forth to the system SD every time you want to transfer to Pokémon Bank.

To do the transfer you can either use PKSM to transfer to a Gen 6/7 game and transfer to Bank from there or use PKSM's poke-transporter-redirect.c script to patch Poké Transporter to read from your save file on the SD card. Note that either way this will require you to install CFW if you haven't already.

If you've already started playing on the flashcard and want to switch to TWiLight Menu++ it's as simple as installing TWiLight Menu++ and copying the ROM and save file over to your console's SD card. Note that TWiLight Menu++ requires the .sav file to be in a "saves" folder where most flashcards want it next to the ROM, so you'll want something like this:
sd:/roms/nds/Pokémon White.nds
sd:/roms/nds/saves/Pokémon White.sav (note the lack of a .nds before .sav as well, some flashcards use .nds.sav)

TWiLight Menu++ also has a few other benefits for the Gen 5 games since it can run them in proper DSi Mode which allows for modern Wi-Fi and camera features and such.

Is that different from what I posted earlier..?

Gee, does the 3DS not run legitimate Gen 5 carts in DSi mode?

What you said is for legitimate cartridges, @SamSam02629 has a fake that is literally just a flashcard with a ROM on it, so dumping the save with Checkpoint won't do anything.

It seems that no one's managed to make real fakes of the IR games yet because all of the fakes on eBay and such are always just flashcards with the ROM on them, maybe they tape over the microSD card if they want to make it seem "legit" lol

I assume they're calling it a "GBATEMP" card because this is the default skin on most of them:

Edit: Also, yes, the Pokémon Dream Radar and Poké Transporter patches are different. Functionally they may do the same thing but to different programs, but that Dream Radar patch doesn't exactly help with transporting Pokémon into Bank...

Edit 2: Sorry didn't read that thread, it looks like it does actually do Transporter, however the PKSM method is simpler (it's based on that patch, but can apply to any save file on the SD) so I'd still recommend doing that instead.

Late but just a heads up with this: if it's a flashcard-based fake, PKSM will not be able to load it just like Checkpoint. An example can be seen with this issue in our issue tracker. There have been some fakes that work, but afaik none of them have been flashcard based.
