not everyone likes super smash. not everyone likes halo 3, not everyone likes bioshock or super mario galaxy.

doesn't change the fact that they are great games.
super mario galaxy won game of the year 2007 from like 4 different major sites. ign, gamespot, gametrailers, mmm one more i believe.

anywho, i don't care that you don't like super smash, but making a thread about it was not the brightest idea lol. thats like saying ps3 owns wii and xbox360.... we all know how gamers feel about that one.

correct me if im wrong, but arent message boards here for us to share thoughts, ideas etc?
all of you who are telling me my thread is "useless" i bet not all your posts are actually ground breaking with news no one else ever heard.
every person and his thoughts... those are mine, I have the right to post them up... without being taunted all the time about it.
and then people telling me im the "closed minded" type ./. just because i dont like a game that most of you admire ? funny.

I completely and totally agree with you eternity.
I think it's very smart to create topics that provoke a bit and give a different view on a certain things. It makes you think. I also started thinking "Well, why do I like those games so much?" and now I know again. Many topics like "My Wiikey modded Wii doesn't play SSBB - Help!" or "Poll: What games do you hate most?" or "Can you swim?" I think are boring and useless so I think a topic called "I HATE MARIO! WHY DO YOU LOVE HIM?" is quite refreshing!

So BOOOOOOH to all the people who say this topic is useless!

Hey if it wasn't for Nintendo we wouldn't be playing these games today possible not even ps3 nor xbox360, right after atari and stuff the NES was introduced then the SNES, this made all the other companies want to make a game console , play with 3 other people and come back, you'll see wut a few people are talking about, (total noob)

I'd say the Xbox 360 and Ps3 are overrated people talk about how great the graphics are and shiet, without nintendo these console wouldn't even exist today, If I want good graphics I could play reality that has good graphics, go watch porn better graphics than Xbox and Ps3, gameplay? aw cmon these guys still stick to the same concept, controller in hand and sitting on the coach playing and getting fat at the same time, while Wii has at least a little movement involved for sports games and burn calories at the same time Xbox and Ps3 are running out of ideas however Nintendo is only getting started.

@greycloud..
You missed my point..
I dont think for a minute, that the wii is not innovative, refreshing and DIFFERENT, thats why I dumped my ps2 and bought it.
I think the motion control could be amazing and very fun.. BUT, the post was about 2 over-rated (to my opinion) games. thats all.
+ I think nintendo got to start screening shitty rlss for their console, as 70% of the games is just.. shake the remote.. thats all.. very few games actually use the full potential of the controller.
well... smg and ssbb are not some of them. sorry.

Actually, this topic IS useless, since there was already a thread like this.

You can read my 2 cents about this here: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=73497&st=15#

It's quite a long post where I try to describe where the fun is in this game.

I have to disagree with the thread starter. I actually bought the Wii for the Mario games, especially Smash Brothers Brawl which isn't specifically a Mario game, but mostly because I always though Super Smash Brothers 64 was amazing.

I think Super Mario Galaxy is good, I remember when N64 first came out and I was seeing SM64 for the first time, the graphics were unbelievable, and to this day I still think SM64 is a great game. Super Mario Galaxy is a similar more modern version of SM64, which didn't let a fan like me down at all. The use of the wiimote was used pretty well so far for SMG even though I haven't gotten close to finishing the game yet.

SSB:B is the most interesting fighting game I've ever played. Some people just have a thing for 2D fighters, and/or games like Dead or Alive or Tekken, but Smash Brothers is a pretty new concept, and the latest one has the most creative items, stages, and moves out of all 3 in the series.

Maybe these games were made for the fans and not for people who are new to them, but I don't see why anyone wouldn't want to try SMG or SSB:B as they're easily addictive :-P

This is breaking news. No one ever told me that there are some things that some people like and that other people don't like. This changes everything.
