I bricked my wii with a game update I need help

    Today I got a new game (The Conduit) and when I put it in it needed an update so I did it and it a turned black when it finished. I dont have preloader or bootmii installed does any one know what I could do?

    Im on 3.2U

    PLEASE help

    Are you using a modchip? do you have the HBC installed?

    no mod chip only homebrew channel but I dont have Pre loader or bootmii.

    Did you run a version from out of region? They usually dont get you a full brick unless you power off or something. What do you get when you boot up? anything?

    because the other one was on another section not wii hacking.

    Anyway man, I guess you could send it to Nintendo or where you got it from if it is still under warranty I guess.

    You might try phoning Nintendo and say that you get a black screen after a disc update.
    I read a post from some other guy who got he Wii replaced for free.

    But you have to be a lucky bastard I think.

    I'm not sure they would be able to find any due to the console being bricked, though in the unlikely event that it happens say a relative or friend did something to it lol.

    But he stated he doesn't have modchip, so this wouldn't apply to him. Would it ?

    Yes it could. Any firmware below 3.3 v2 using a retail disc that updates to 3.4 can cause this if it had been updated before (and then downgraded back).
