Hypothetical question!

    So, let's say I somehow obtained a portal gun and a suit that can handle immense pressure.

    One day I decide to go to the bottom of the Challenger Deep, because, fuck it, why not? I shoot a nickel sized portal on the ocean floor of the Challenger Deep. So, I resurface, and shoot another portal facing a brick wall! So, what happens now? Would the nickel sized shot of water smash through the wall? How far would the water be shot?

    Pressure = Density x Gravity x height
    Density of sea water is 1024kg/m^3
    Gravity is 9.8m/s^2
    Depth of Challengers deep is about 11km
    So pressure is about 110MPa or 1086 atmospheres
    Force = Pressure x Area
    Area of a US nickel = pi x radius^2 = 3.1416 * (1/2 x 21.2 x 10^-3)^2 = 0.000353m^2
    Force = 110,000,000 x 0.000353 = 38,830N = 4000kg of force.

    Haven't finished my fluid mechanic but it should be the same velocity as water falling from ocean surface to that depth. And without aerodynamics this means reach square root 2 * gravitational acceleration * depth and with 3000 m that should give you just over 240 m/s, which is more than enough to cut steel. 11km on the other hand will give you 464 m/s. But even just 500 meters should give you enough to punch through a wall. Of course once exiting the portal aerodynamics becomes a problem so there are some vaporization.
