Every firmware besides 3.0.1 (1.0.0, 2.0.0, 2.1.0, 2.2.0, 2.3.0, 3.0.0) can make use of this.

In general: just don't update.

I expect very few people have 1.0.0 any more, which is a shame because it has the most bugs.

I edited it actually. Not so sure anymore that any physical cartridge actually updates 2.0.0+. None should be above 2.2.0, if at all.

New switches won't be in stock for at least a year and when they are they'll probably be on 3.0.1 at the least. PS3 3.55 all over again.

Yeah, I was just asking in terms of wondering how likely, say, Mario Odyssey will be to force a firmware upgrade. Not that the clever people of this site won't find ways around that if it does, but I'm thinking more in the line of borrowing a cart from a friend if Hax/CFW aren't kicked off by then.

No matter what happens next, Nintendo will somehow make Mario Odyssey not work on our systems.

Yeah, that's what scares me about dropping $300 on a Switch atm... I'll still do it, because I planned to eventually buy one anyways, but...
