Hacking How to update WAD Manager?

I have WAD Manager 1.4
I downloaded 1.7, do I need to rename the DOL file to boot.dol, and replace it over the old boot.dol I have in /apps/wad manager on my sdcard?

I would use "yawmm" instead if i were u

and the method u describe would work, but u could just create a separate folder entirely for your new app
