Some people report better results on the Slim PSP with L.M.A.O

Whenever it doesn't freeze it doesnt load chickhen either. I then click the image and it says System memory is low
Also, i read somewhere else that i have to format my memory card? is this true?

Ok I don't get this step

Download XGEN 5.50 GEN-D3
Copy the UPDATE folder to ms0:/PSP/GAME/
& copy the 550.PBP to ms0:/ (The root of the memory stick)
Run the update from your PSP BE CAREFUL ON WHAT YOU PRESS.
Download 5.50 Prometheus
Copy the folder to ms0:/PSP/GAME/
What folder? I SEE 7 FILES Ah! It was the whole folder inside the ZIP file.
Run the update from your PSP This step was unclear

So It's 5.50 GEN D3 THEN Prometheus.

Edit: Ahahaha done updating i have 5.50 Prometheus thanks to prowler_!

This may sound really stupid but,
Do you need 5.00 M33 installed on psp before you install 5.50 Prometheus? The tut says how to UPDATE to 5.50 Prometheus, so i am thinking if i skip installing 5.00 M33, it will brick the psp..

Also, should i format memory stick before i start installing cfw?
What can i delete after im done installing cfw?

I think? I installed 5.00 m33 first THEN I installed 5.50 GEN D3 AND Prometheus. It's better to play safe...

Also, should i format memory stick before i start installing cfw? No not really important. I just updated it and i didn't format and everything works fine

What can i delete after im done installing cfw? You can delete Hellcat, Prometheus and 5.50 GEN D3 Updater(once you have 5.50 Prometheus) and basically all you have downloaded.

Thanks for the reply, will start installing crap now

edit: all done, got 5.50 Prometheus. Thanks prowler for the good guide and to everyone who helped.

One last Q, can you data install with cfw? Or will it make the game crash?

You can Data Install, but it's useless unless you're playing from UMD OR the game in question is Peace Walker, which in actuality gives you more voices in the game if you Data install.

Which tbh, isn't that great unless you can't muti-task.
Reading text and sneaking around at the time ftw.

Re-reading the first post, I saw a hint I didn't knew - turning off the psp every week to clean the ram. Maybe this is the answer to my question, but anyway...

I use an exploit alternative to ChickHen and MHU. It is pretty good, and by following the instructions, I can activate the exploit between first and third try. Problem is that lately, after a few weeks w/o needing to use it, if the psp freezes or shuts down for some reason, it's beginning to become hard to activate the exploit.

I've heard that the non-activating thing is a common problem among the exploits when the psp has been softmoded for various times. What should I do to "reset" it and be able to apply the exploit easily again?

Try formatting your memory card through the PSP setting and resetting your PSP settings to default.

The link to the 5.03 update doesn't seem to be working...

It gives an "EBOOT.PBP", and I put it in its own folder within the "GAME" folder, but the PSP just says, "Corrupted Data" for it.

It's a 5.00 PSP-1000, by the way.

And yes, I've tried redownloading the file. Twice. Same thing happened both times.
