How to make internet speed faster?

Is there a way to increase wireless internet speed WITHOUT plugging it to the enternet port?

I get 100mbs with the plug but its not NEAR anywhere my comp.

Suggestions would be liked.

Get a wireless-N router and a wireless-N capable WiFi card for your system.

Hell, you could go ac if you wanted.

Like Pity said, try to get yourself a Wireless N router and a Wireless N capable WiFi card, also try changing the WiFi channel on your router to an empty channel, because routers may be using the same channel thus reducing speed.

Is this for LAN (local area)? Cause if you are talking about internet (WAN) unless your internet is 50+ Mbps going Wireless N isn't going to speed things up.

That's the connection between your computer and router, not between your computer and the internet. Use a site such as speedtest.net to see what your actual internet speed is at any given time (and be sure to pause all downloads and stuff in the house before you test).

I feel bad for myself. Because currently the highest our internet speed goes is 1.5 MB/s...and starting tomorrow it will be 350 KB/s since we're getting the AT&T UVerse package....FML!!!

IE is actually the fastest browser out there when it comes to the SunSpider benchmark, quite handily beating Chrome thanks to their Chakra engine.

Be very clear. Either way Wireless N ain't going to help you in this situation.

Also lower your harddrives and make your fans hellaflush!

OT:
Turning off other wireless devices as said before works.
Also moving in a bit closer to the router works.
You could also put some tinfoil against the wall behind the router.
It somehow works with increasing signals.

That's probably your best bet. Either that, or learn how to put ethernet behind your walls so all you have to do is just jack into a CAT5 outlet.
