Can confirm HAS plays out of region games.

Got in a really good flow with booting FBI.
Got much better success just loading FBI from a clean boot of menuhax then when the screen flashes yellow i just held down the A button.
Tried it a few times and worked better than my normal method.

Couple of questions before I consider doing this:
1. Does it work with ironhax now, or do I need to install menuhax?
2. How do you use HANS to play out of region games? Any thread you can link me to for a tutorial?
3. How many 3DS's have been bricked doing this process?

1. Works with both tho i advise you to use MenuHax because FBI will fail. A lot..
2. You boot HANS then play the rom, Simple.
3. None that ive read about. Its extremely safe.

Thanks, I'll try it on my 3DS tonight.
Dont be disheartened if FBI keeps failing. It takes awhile and many, many tries. Hopefully you get lucky and not waste too much time.
Pop as many CIA files as you can/want on your SD card so you can install them when you finally get in.

Good thing I have nothing important to do tonight.

I found a way to get this to work easily on a New 3DS. It looks like it has more of a percentage of booting FBI than normal.
Run HBL through oot3dhax.
Boot FBI while holding the A button
If it says cleaning up and FBI runs, exit to launcher using the START button.
Open BlargSnes and then exit it.
Run FBI.
If it says done, then press A. and Voila!

If it does say Done nd nothing happens when you press A, retry the process.

Hello all I got a quick question. I am on 10.3 and have quite a few legit cia's installed. My question is, if I downgrade to 9.2 will i keep all of my cia's or have to reinstall them all again?

okay so I thought I'd share my method of doing this using menuhax, which usually worked after 2-3 times (I installed, pokemon X, Smash Bros., Majora's Mask and it never took more than 5 times trying) using N3ds 10.3.0.28E

once you placed the FBI files and the folder in the 3ds folder on your sd-card follow these steps

1. download your desired .cia file from "that iso site" (make sure it's .cia and the right region)
2. place it on the root of your sd
3. boot into the homebrew launcher through menuhax
3.1 I don't know if this is true, however, do the steps that follow till the installation process starts as fast as possible
4. navigate to the 3d testing software and open it
5. once opened let it stay opened for a few seconds (around 4 secs)
6. close it by pressing start
7. once back in the hb-launcher open ftbrony, once it's open close it by pressing b
8. open FBI and press any button
9. if nothing happens reboot your system by holding down the power button and repeat previous steps
10. choose your .cia file and installation should start right away
11. once finished installing press start as instructed, press start again to return to the hb-launcher
12. your bottom screen will turn red, now turn off your 3ds by holding down the power button and power it back on and let it boot normally
13. your game should sit on your home screen ready to be played

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
