i orderd the compact edition and i guess i got a fake. it will load with the original firmware.
but with the akaio 1.6 it just freezes at the loading screen

This thread refers to the 2i as are all the posters, not the 2.1 which you ordered. Everyone knows the 2.1 are are full of problems regardless of where you buy one.

Anyone with any degree of sense will buy a 2i instead of the 2.1, even if they have a DS Lite/ Phat. The 2.1 problem has been posted all over this forum, and as an experienced user you should have known better.

well, i've didn't read much in to it because i heard people talking that akaio was so good.

and i needed a replacement for my almost dead dstt. so i just bought th compact edition since i don't have a dsi anyway. so.. i basically bought a crappy flashcard?

The compact edition is nothing to do with it, there's just a bad batch of AK2.1's going around.

They work with the older official 4.07 firmware, if you go to the thread there's more information.

Contact DX, tell them your AK2.1 is faulty and is from the 'bad batch', ask them for a credit and then get a AK2i from them instead as it's only a couple dollars more ($12.97). While DX are replacing peoples faulty AK2.1's, the replacement AK2.1's are also from the same bad batch.

k messaged them this: in the rma thing.
it won't load or save people from gbatemp say because it's a bad batch.
when replaced i rather have sku 18728 because that one doesn't have that problem. i will pay the difference.
hopefully they will send me a acekard 2i

My ak2i was shipped today from DX.

@Getting_Better: It usually takes at least 3 days before they ship (it took almost 10 days for my ak2i though). And it usually takes about one week (a few days more) for the package to reach Sweden so i guess it would be something similar to Canada.

They aint fast, but they're cheap!

They take about a week to ship, and then two or three to deliver. They're slow but reliable

Yep these will run AKAIO! It's the most up to date Ackard! So it's only logical that it'll run the most up to date Acekard-All-In-One OS! lol!
