It depends: how strongly and how long did you make them hate/like you? If they hate you with a passion and the hatred has been festering on how to get back at you, you might get a temporary/permanent ban for insults or shit-posts. Likewise, you might get a few likes for standing up against obvious trolls or providing help or actual answers.
The users that are moderators or have elevated privileges are pretty responsible and do not really use their power unless necessary. Most other websites are VERY restrictive on the types of posts and opinions people can make/have, like GameFAQs.

Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.
