Gaming How much would you pay for games?

I can pay the 50-70 SGD for a wii game, as long as its worth it.... And for DS games as long as they are REALLY good.... if they are not rated "m" or anything. Also alot for Guitar Hero console games.

Games I've bought because i felt they are worth it: Pokemon Pearl, Apollo Justice, Mario Kart DS/Wii , Phantom Hourglass, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Guitar Hero

But then again, I've never actually bought a game. I only have games that came with the DS in one of those packages, but they're not exactly good.

Games cost twice as much here in Norway... I'd be happy if they were the same price as US.

I've paid for three games, got everything else for free so that's 160,5 dollar. I'd say that's a fair prize for 9-10 games.

I'd say up to £20 for a DS game (For the better games, that is. Shovelware should be extremely budget (Around £5)).

Probably up to £25 for a Wii game, and £30 for a new PC game.

The problem is is that there seems to be a "standard price" set for new games that are released, it's a shame games aren't priced at what they're actually worth (within reason).

I don't mind the price, 20, 10, 5, 1$ or even free but registration needed or DRM, I would still pirate games.

When I want something and if I can get it for free, I will, else I will pay the price.
Back in 90's I bought Snes games in import (the good RPG never get to europe, or yeaaaars later with very bad translation, and sometime not even translated), and the import price were around 120$

I remember neo geo or 3DO game price was around 200$, kids were still buying games !

I already bought few consoles especially for 1 certain game only. it makes the game really expansive.

If a game deserve it, any price is right.

If the game publishers want my money, make it easy for me to give it to them. Charge me 20 dollars or less and let me download it. DLC is the future, going to a store and paying big bucks for fancy packaging and a DVD that can be scratched, is not.

Anyone that thinks otherwise, just look at itunes. They are making $$$ charging 99 cents a song and making it easy for anyone to download.

This is true. If I'm looking for just 1 song, I buy it. It's ONLY $.99.

I would have paid 50 bucks for My Chinese Coach. That's simply because I want to encourage Ubisoft to continue making newer versions of that title in the future, whether that be for the DS or for its successor. I bought that at pretty much the normal price, though. Electroplankton is another that I would have bought for a somewhat high price (I'd say 30 USD, since it's not actually useful for anything), though I can't remember what I paid for that one. I ended up w/ a Chinese fake anyway. I'm not going to buy it twice, though, so off to the internet. But the principle is the same- supporting the developers, supporting the title, and (to a degree) supporting the underground.

For other good games, such as Grand Theft Auto or Mario titles, I think I would just download them regardless of cost, considering a trillion other people are financially supporting those titles anyway. So, if there is some revolutionary technology that is at risk of being discontinued, I will financially support it. If not, then fuck it.

Games here cost a fortune, i always get a family member that has migrated to either EU or US to get the ones that i really really enjoy, other than that i pirate everything else

. I spend a fair amount of money on PC games, and PS3 games, other than that other games are not worth it.

Why buy games? When you could just download the,. I wouldn't even pay 5 bucks to get a game that I wanted why because I can just go and download it and put it on my R4 and thats it. Why get up out of my couch and go to the store when I could just sit on my couch and download the game 1-5min and put it straight into my R4 and play.
