once i had 3 simultaneously, an r4 a g6 lite and an ez4.

i also have had a m3 minisd at some point.

then i sold every flashcard (because i needed money, i would have gladly kept all of them, great cards!) and just kept the r4.

I have five, since I gave away my original SuperCard SD.

1. R4
2. EFA-Linker 512
3. SuperCard Lite (sucks)
4. SuperCard Mini (doesn't suck

)
5. EZ-Flash IV Mini (now a permanent fixture in my Game Boy Micro)

I also have an EZ-Flash V 3-in-1 and an Ewin Expansion Pak, but I don't know if those count as "flash kits".

in order of purchase:

Flash Advance (64mbit/8MB) (lol...I remember hating 64mbit games, could only put 1 on)
Flash Advance (256mbit/32MB)
Flash2Advance Ultra (256mbit/32MB)
Neoflash (512mbit/64MB) (Card was ok, but flashing took forever, like 30 minutes for a big rom)
g6 lite (4gbit/512megabyte) (I loved this one, played nds and gba on it, plus flashing games were super quick, comprared to my previous 4)
mk5 (16gbit/2GB) (I love this one too, pratically everygame i try works no prob)
Supercard SD (depends on SD) (I hate this thing, gba games slowdown, and nds dont even work, white screen every game)

Out of all these carts, the only one I use at all now is the mk5, I just use my psp to play gba/gbc games

I also have an adapter that allowed me to use Flash Advance cart in a normal gameboy/color, so you can play gbc games, without emulation

6 (maybe 7 soon) Having a bunch of these kinda ruins my purpose for having a flashcart though (to save money)...

:
EZIV phat
EZIV Lite Compact
EZIV Lite Delux
EZV
G6DSR 16Gb
EDGE (awaiting arrival in mail)

And possibly a DSTT if I get 1st or 2nd in Pharoahsvizier's MKDS tourney (I'm pretty darn good

)

Anybody interested in buying the EZIV Compact? Just send me a PM.

I've got 3

2x CycloDS Evolutions - I love them, skinning is amazing for it, RTS and slow mo is freaking sweet too!
1x DSTT - For the girlfriends NDS Lite, she loves it, does everything she could ask for. (shes doesn't need any extra bullshit)

Check out my CycloDS Skins here:
These are my Beauty CycloDS skins, eh?

See my sig for the number and types of cards I own. I voted five, because I don't consider the 3-in-1 to be a standalone flashkit.

While I've bought all of the cards, I share them with my fiancee these days. All she ever uses is the F-Card though. I guess it's because its black shell best matches her crimson-black DS, while my white-shelled R4 and DSTT match my white one.

I'm currently contemplating buying an EDGE card for her. She wouldn't even care, but it's a convenient excuse for me to experiment with yet another card.

2x CycloDS Evolution (One Black)
1x Edge Card (Still in the mail, from DX, So I expect to get it in a month

SC-CF 3 yrs old
fast as f|_|k, bought new mem 2GB card for it @ 2 yrs a go
plays all the DS games 100% inc the vanias perfectly... couldn't ask for better, even though it sux for gba (but i have 2 other gba only flashcarts anyway)... unbeleivably this cart supports most of the features that mySCDS-1 has, including the awesome realtime cheats menu and guide.

EZ4 miniSD @2 yrs old
still going strong, plays @98%-99% of DS games, only the vanias struggle really plus a couple of other isolated roms, the updates are not as fast as SC but still quite good... has great gba abilty for a nice bonus

N-card1GB, bought recently
Ok, plays all DS games afaik but some I tried have save trouble (write error) which needs a workaround (manually make save file for affected rom). Can't really comment too much since i have only had it a few weeks, but is looking good.... also plays the vanias np

SC-DS1, had this since is was launched
This had a slow start at launch, where I had some saving problems on a few roms, but over the last year has turned into god-like entity with un-real features. This lives in my personal DS-lite.... easily the king of my carts. With Kingston Japan mem card has 100% compatabilty as expected, including the vanias. Real Time Save rox! (I'm so so glad i didn't get an r4)

I still have my EZ-Flash IV from about two years ago. Still working fine, and it's a nice fit with my DS Phat.

both of which work well in potplayer

amd is a bit cheaper though
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Cheaper and they are less stingy with the RAM not a big issue now but I can imagine in a yard or two things might be different
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Year not yard lol
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the vram is one advantage when it comes to AI but ends up being slower even with that and really AI is the only use case that needs more than 12gb vram right now
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Interesting lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think I watched a video where two games at 4K where eating just over 16GB of RAM and it's the one case where the 7900XT and XTX pulled ahead (minus RTX of course)
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So my opinion is that they could age a bit better in the future, and maybe AMD will continue improving them via drivers like they tend to do. No guarantee there but they have done it in the past. Just a feeling I have.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
cyberpunk at 4k without DLSS/fidelityfx *might* exceed 12gb
    +1
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but that game barely runs at native 4k
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it was some newer games and probably poorly optimized PS4 or PS5 ports
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
they definitely will age better but i feel dlss might outweigh that since it looks about as good as native resolution and much less demanding
    +1

When I played Cyberpunk on my old 2080 Ti it sucked lol
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
AMD could introduce something comparable to DLSS but nvidia's got a lot more experience with that
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
least amd 7xxx has tensor cores which the previous generations didn't so there is the potential for AI upscaling
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They have FSR or whatever it's called and yeah it's still not great
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
so AMD seem to finally be starting to take AI seriously
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Oh yeah those new 8000 CPUs have AI cores built in that's interesting
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Maybe they plan on offloading to the CPU?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Would be kinda cool to have the CPU and GPU working in random more
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Tandem even
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow
