So I want to make a ROM of Newer, and I have unpacked an ISO of NSMBW and replaced the files, but how do I repack the folder to a Wii ISO? And how do I convert that to a WBFS?

wit (Wiimms iso tools) can convert between pretty much every Wii disc format, including loose files (sometimes called FST) and WBFS directly :)

(You might want to extract the original game with it first, if you haven't already, so that you can have a working reference for file and folder layout)

is there an easier way?

Well you could just use Riivolution as intended?

If you want to build wbfs for a lot of the NSMB-mods I found Patchimage to be the most functional - but it will require you to run Linux. A VM Will work fine: https://gbatemp.net/threads/patchimage-riivolution-patcher-for-gnu-linux.349979/

You can also find some Bat-files around this forum which may or may not work... Many of them errors out because they try to retrieve now non-working URIs to get the mods.

EDIT: For most riivolution mods its simply not enough to copy the files, look at the xml-file, and you will see that there is also other magic going.

in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma

you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
