You should only ever use GBAtemp for help if you cannot find ANYTHING that helps on Google.

In less than 2 minutes, I've found a site that you needed.

www.sksapps.com

That vid actually shows how to install the independent exploit, and running backups with cogswap. It's no longer recommended as Free Mcboot is available now and ESR which can do autobooting. Cogswap may be useful with some games that may not work with esr though.

My bad, lol, I'm not even experienced with the PS2 myself

To make a game work with freemcboot you must patch the iso with memento disk patcher! Before you burn it to disk.

Yes, and you run them with ESR, not FreeMCBoot itself

you can also store and run the game backups on a hard disk drive, usb harddrive or SMB network using Open PS2 Loader 0.7

can burn games to dvd+r and it work on a fat ps2 or is that for the slim or do i need dvd-r

This may be a problem, but if you set the booktype of your DVD+Rs to DVD-R while burning, then it should always work. This feature is called bitsetting, just google it.

Helo there!
I have installed free Mcboot correctly.but when I burned my game copy ,it only gave me a pink screen.I have patched the game with memento allso before burn and burned it with Imgburn at 4 speed.the ps 2 slim picks the game up but only gives me a pink screen and nothing happens further.

Quadruple-posting isn't going to get you an answer any faster. I know the solution, and I know how to help you, but, I refuse to.

People like you are the worst kind of noob. I suggest you read the stickies and FAQs before asking questions that are already answered.
