I only started out nearly a week ago i used some open source examples and learnt a bit of c and c++ whil making the apps.
However you need devkitPro installed on your PC to make .nro files

Unfortunately, I have no knowledge on how to code. I just want to display a simple .jpg/.png image on the screen.
You're going to have to learn. Look at the devkitpro examples and read up on how to code in C. It's not as simple as telling the Switch to "Hey show a picture and if a person presses a button do this."

This is probably going to take a lot more effort than you're expecting. I would recommend just using NX-Shell's image viewer.

If you really want to make a program to do this yourself, Brew.js is the easiest way. Aside from that, learn C and use DevKitPro. Get started here:

And perhaps if you look at NX-Shell's github you might be able to steal slightly revise their code to make it do what you want.

Yeah and I can close it lmao
I'm not really a fan of people stealing code without asking or giving credit. Its happened before and it's quite annoying.
You should really close it, then. You don't really get open source. Open sourcing something is like the scientific journal of coding, anyone who reads the information will hopefully use what they learned to create something else. "We stand on the shoulders of giants."
This guy isn't trying to rip you off or sell your product as their own. They seem to be making a prank for one or two of their friends. Lighten up.

>Don't really get open source
I've been doing it for years...
I'm well aware he isn't trying to rip me off or anything. I was just sharing my thoughts on it. People have stolen open source code and are making money from it. It's still happening today with SX OS. That's the part I don't like.

Then why make your stand here? This is not the time or the place. SexySpai hasn't done anything wrong.
