Hacking how do I completely wipe a ps3 hard drive?

I was wondering if I can wipe my ps3 hard drive without leaving a trace of geohot cfw

cfw is intergrated with the system, I don't think wiping the hdd will remove cfw.

You could try reinstalling OFW 3.55 from the recovery menu and then the full format option from the system options or the recovery menu, but I'm not sure if that wipes ALL traces. It's as close to wiping everything that I can think of, though.

My guess? First install official firmware to the system. Remove the hard drive from the PS3, hook it up to a PC, format it for the PC, use a PC app to wipe the drive several times, stick it back in the PS3, use the PS3 to reformat it for PS3.

Keep in mind, the drive may be clean after this, but the system itself may still have some crap hidden away somewhere to indicate it was once hacked. I don't know.
