Hacking Question How can I run Hecate with SX-OS Dongle?

I wonder if it possible to use this by the python script modified boot.dat to always boot into hekate and boot SX OS from there if we want to.
Can we make that possible somehow?
I prefer booting into hekate on every boot (to chose from all the great options there) and to boot into SX OS from there only if I want to.

That feature is ready internally and works great. It's compatible with every RCM payload, even ones with broken re-locators.
The linux launching is another story though. Because it's completely based on USB loading it needs special care.
Today I had time to work on it, so there was great progress.

@BlackwingAngelx people have been banned ONLY using hekate and no SX. So if your goal is to avoid banning then avoid ALL hacks and homebrew all together

To each their own, but I've been using Hekate online for a month now with no issues. If I get banned, I get banned, but just from using Hekate seems unlikely. From the ban thread, it seems like mostly all LayeredFS and SX OS.

Also I've gotta add that I really appreciate the fact that you stay kind and friendly.
Many other devs are kind of p*ssed off after answering the same questions inside a thread a thousand times (and I even understand them) but your support in your hekate thread is superb. Thanks for that!

If you don't want to edit the script each time you can add
'import sys' with the rest of the imports, and edit stage2_fn = 'hekate_ctcaer_3.2.bin' to
'stage2_fn = sys.argv[1]'

This will allow you to use 'python tx_custom_boot.py yourpayload.bin', where yourpayload.bin is the name of your bin, example ReiNX.bin or whatever.

Well, in theory it should work fine, but I don't have a SX dongle so I can't test the converted dat.

If you are using the SX Dongle but the hekate.bin file on your SD.
Holding Vol+ and power to go to the SX Load menu. Go to Option Select other firmare and pick hekate.bin from your list.

this does not require any SX software on your SD card.
