I'd like to get it straight from the .cia file if possible but I dont see how

I installed the game and then went to decrypt9 and dumped the enctitlekey.bin but I dont see it when I view it in a hex editor.

What else can I do?

the title key is in the ticket which is in the cia. you can just drag it on FunKeyCIA or FunkyCIA to dump the ticket i think, treating it as a ticket.db.

this is because decrypt9 only dumps keys from content you have bought/non pirated.

maybe use cdn-fx, it is java and has a gui.

Open the CIA in a hex editor.
EncryptedTitleKey is located at 2BFF-2C0E (length 10)

I'm familiar with cdn-fx, I used my own enctitlekey and the game is definitely not there so I guess you have a point. So theres no other way aside from purchasing the game right?

you said you have the cia so you can try loading the cia as the ticket.db, maybe cdn-fx doesn't let you?

but you have a hex editor so just do what asia said above.

Wouldn't it be easier to just install the game and just use decrypt9 to get that kind of information?
already attempted, read the op...

I found the title key exactly where he showed it. My last questions, is that the decrypted key or encrypted key? How would I get the other?

encrypted. where did the cia came from?
unless it was made with 'good' cia tools (like FunkyCIA/FunKeyCIA/CIAngel, cdn-fx) - there is a chance the content is already decrypted and that the title key is junk/wrong.

I'm only doing this so I can contribute to THAT title key site. Otherwise I dont really need to do this for any other reason, it works fine.

@cearp

Something is wrong with the titlekey. The site says its invalid. Like you said it has possibly been altered in such a way that its not the original.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol

I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
