Hacking How can I find out which modchip I have?

Hi, I got sold a pre-modded wii with a 'wiikey'... and after a few frustrating tries trying to update the firmware, I realize it's not a wiikey at all, a lot of the features are missing.

So my question is, how can I find out which chip I have? Do I have to open up my wii to find out, and even then, how can I tell?

if nobody else gives a better answer, take the wii apart and take a picture of the chip and post it.

otherwise i dont know any surefire way to figure out what it is ;P
