Ok, I do have the TP hack installed still on my system. Also I can don't have a mod chip but I can get one like jayparadox suggested, but only if that'll fix my problem. I will hold out for now, but eventually I am going to have to do something about this. I thank you all for your help and if someone can come up with a workable solution I would love to know. But I've learned my lesson, let other people make the wads for me.

Oh and I still do have the bad wad and the wad manager on my sd card (front loading)

Hey I just had a thought. Although trucha signed discs will not run on 3.3, my WiiKey config discs (which run in gamecube mode) still worked before I bricked. Would it be possible to make a GC autoboot disc with the Wad Manager running in GC mode?

You guys shall forever be in my debt if you can fix my delimma.

Oh and forgive me if it is wrong to ask this (and if you can't tell me that's fine also), but is there any good places to directly download wads that people have made?

Whew!!!! Solution Found!

Just to recap:

I have an NTSC-U Wii updated to the newest firmware, 3.3U.
I have a WiiKey installed.
I banner bricked my Wii with a bad VC .wad file (I was trying to update the banners and I think I botched the banner.brlyt file).
The Wad Manager ISO disc fix would not work because of the trucha signing.

Here's what I did to unbrick my Wii:

I obtained an untouched NTSC Zelda Twilight Princess ISO.
I patched it to autoboot using Wii BootMe 1.0 by CorteX (find it on wiibrew.org)
Burned to DVD (I used Nero).
Popped it in my Wii at the Health & Safety screen and viola! It booted!!!!
Then all I had to do was put the wad manager in the root of my SD card and uninstall the offending WAD.

Oh yeah, IMPORTANT NOTE, thank GOD I still had the Twilight Hack save on my Wii!!!!!!

Hope this will help others...

I'm not sure if you can make GCN games auto-boot... but if you can, there's a possibility that you could autoboot gamecube mode gecko os - then launch trucha signed discs there (perhaps... homebrew save restore disc - to restore twilight hack).....

wait, it worked without having to be trucha signed?

now that acctually amazes me, and dude who created this thread, it means you can fix it.

that is, you have reinstalled the twilight hack since updating to 3.3..

right?

and to the guy above me, when youve gone into gamecube mode, you cant get into wii mode and vice versa, so there would be no point in this.

I was just as amazed as you are. I simply patched the zelda.iso with BootMe and it autobooted from the Health & Safety screen even with 3.3U!

As far as my comment about gamecube mode, what I meant was would it be possible to create a GC disc that would autoboot from the H & S screen to run a Wad uninstaller. It doesn't matter now since the other method worked for me.

Ok, well like I said before, I still have the TP hack installed and it is up to date. Also, again I do not have a mod chip installed so my question is... following samhush's fix, do I need to specifically have a wiikey mode chip or would something like the solderless free clip, work just as well? I only ask because if I can avoid soldering then that would be great.

Agian thank you all, especially samhush for helping me correct this issue.

Yes, if only you have Zelda TP Hack for 3.3 and you'll have a modchip you can save you wii.

Since youre getting a Modchip, Id recomend having a look at Wiikey with Wii Clip, http://www.wii-clip.com/

OR

http://www.wii-clip.com/KEY-CLIP.htm
Key Clip. Its a tiny clip about the same size as the drive chip, you program it once, and then you can use it just like a normal wiikey. It would seem to be your best option, because wiikey is great! =D

Not to seem like a noob, but I am having a hard time finding a place that sells the key clip? Any help on this one. I prefer it if I needn't have to use paypal.

right, ive definately found one place (http://wii-repairs.com/osc/product_info.php?cPath=22&products_id=40)

but itsuk.. ill search some mor

you can order a wiikey presoldered to a wii-clip from dubsoutlet -- I got mine from there. Very good price and fast shipping. He's based in NY, USA, so you should get it fast. Go to the link below, select presoldered. Also, make sure you get a triwing screwdriver. He also sells a small philips head screwdriver if you don't already have one of those.

does a wiikey + wiiclip require an programming? Also curious question, how do these solderless mod chips work. I mean it seems to me like you're just laying the mod chip on top of a driver chip in the wii. It's probably in the include installation guide, but I'm just not seeing how the chip is attached.
