Do you have anything else to say than "You can't enable sound with libctru cause it doesn't have any API to do this."?
You said this in all the other posts. and it's getting pretty repetitive.

But it's true.
The DSP bins and the DSP itself are not fully RE'd so that means no API (if there will ever be one that is. Maybe people will have to include a custom DSP bin, then use it through the service)

What i have to say?
You want i say that it's possible?

Ok, as you want, starts recompiling homebrew with libctru spending lots of time cause it can enable sound support.

Now, are you satisfied? :D

I know it seems very new for a lot of you guys since the n3ds came out yesterday but some of us has had new 3ds's for months and to be honest I'm kind of pissed about no sound still on the n3ds and smea has stopped working on it. I've had my n3ds since November and I'm still waiting for sound

Well it's not that everyone can code and people are still doing it for free

Doesn't Cubic Ninja already have one loaded? If that's the case then can't we just RE Cubic Ninja and figure it out that way?

I believe I have an idea on an exploit for the 3DS XL (old). Does anybody know about the Pokemon ORAS hacked pokemon deal? What you do is place files on your SD card and once in-game, you execute it by going into the browser and putting in a URL. I believe that this could load a bug into the game and could launch homebrew. Does anybody think this as a possible exploit?

Possibly, but definitely not on a version past 9.2. But at that point it'd be pointless because you already have arbitrary code execution from the browser, so why not just run from there?

I am currently using a 9.5.0 3DS XL and this bug still works fine. I am thinking in general we can use a arbitrary code execution exploit (ORAS pokemon injection glitch) to run a homebrew application, whether by creating a game crash, or by running unsigned code from the browser. Of course code will have to be written for this, but I myself do not code.

Not enough permissions to run from there I don't think. I believe it has just enough power to write to memory and all that jazz, but not much else (ie not enough to load a .3dsx). Even then it would be very limited in what we could do.

Right. I believe the only things that this can do is read and write.... however, is there any possibility a bug could be written into the software? Sorry for my inexperience in this topic by the way.

The answer is always the same, because the situation is still the same.

Here's an idea, why don't you get started on reverse engineering DSP?

That way next time someone asks this question you can interject with "Actually, I just fucking finished REing DSP! Follow this link and see how you can go about implementing it in your homebrew."

When they do, they'll put you in the credits and you'll be revered as a hero of the 3DS homebrew scene. You'll forever be known "the guy who brought sound to the new3DS".
