Does the flashcart used to run a homebrew affect how it plays?
Example: I downloaded DSDSRevolution on my ak2i and in songs with a bunch of notes close toghether it stops working and I miss notes...
would this be improved in say:
iEvolution with DSi mode or a SCDSTWO and the extra cpu?
Not just with this game but with any in general?

I'm not sure, but that could be affected by the write/read speed of your Micro SD and not related to your flash card.

I've never heard of different flash cards boosting the performance of homebrew... Just different Micro SD cards with different write/read speeds doing that.

Homebrew has to be coded to take advantage of the extra CPU/DSI mode and most flash carts will attempt to use their onboard processing ability (just about all of them have a small measure which can be/is used for DLDI)- different cards can have less developed DLDI patches but AKAIO has a nice one. I have not really messed with DSDSRevolution so it might be an actual homebrew issue but I very much doubt you will see any real DLDI speed boosts by moving away from your AK2i.

You sure? I mean when theres like literally 50+ arrows on the screen at a time and the buttons don't respond very well. bag is a song example like that.
All the songs I tried with tons of arrows on the screen all at once had no problems except for the fact that I failed 3 seconds in because I suck at DSDSRevolution.

@OP: is your msd card sdhc or not, what name brand is it, from what region is it from (japanese, etc), if its sdhc what class speed is it, have you performed a FULL format using the panasonic formatter?
