Hi Guys,
I managed to get the HB sorted and working on the switch but could do with some advice on the below:

Homebrew Shop How do I install and get this running?
Where can I get/download N64 & GBC/GBA NSPs to emulate?
Do I have to always run in flight mode when on a downloaded NSP? (Pokemon/Super Smash Bros)
What is Kosmos as I've heard this is something people put on their switches?

Thanks again, I did mention I was a noob! :)

Please don't ask as where to get game ROM files as that's prohibited and in violation of the forum's rules.
That said, you can generate retroarch game forwarder for each individual game, however the ROM file must be present on the SD card for it's respective forwarder to be run.
See here for more.

Now as per your question regarding online play. It's best to keep your switch in airplane at all times and set up incognito and/or 90DNS.
setting them up at the same time won't hurt.

Download it and run it on your Switch. https://gbatemp.net/threads/switch-homebrew-appstore.493086/

Use Google. You cannot ask for copyrighted files here.

If you have been using homebrew and you have games installed from NSP files, then you have a dirty NAND, and you cannot connect that NAND to the internet at all without being banned. If you don't want to get banned (assuming you haven't been banned already), you must disconnect your NAND from the internet at all times, or install 90DNS and/or Incognito.

What is Kosmos as I've heard this is something people put on their switches?
It's a prepackaged version of Atmosphere, signature patches, and other homebrew applications. If you're up and running, you don't need to worry about it. I personally don't recommend Kosmos.

I jut went throught the same thing setting up a fresh install on an unptched switch
I had trouble getting HBJ to show new games, i had to delete the tinfoil folder, then use the folder provided in the HBJ download and just place it on SD card
Afterwards, the 'new games' section showed up and HBG looked liek the images usually found on line. from there i was able to download anyting

I also wanted to still be able to use my switch online on OFW so i had to partition my SD card prior to use
If you do this method, and run the emmuNAND setup, along with 90DNS primary and secondary DNS settings, when using CFW is wont affect online gaiming if you decide to boot to OFW to play games

This is my first time using a switch or hacking, rpior to that i was a vita man
But ive founsd the seitch to be far eaier to hack, use www.sdsetup.com, and choose the kosmos package. it will pick items for you, depending on what you select, then down load the whole package for u. One folder is direct transfer to SD card, the other, in my case, has the payloads which you just stick on the dongle

Kosmos is simple, OS, even for total noob like me, plenty of guide sout there. Search my posts etc, and you will find info people gave me, just follwo that. all in all took me a day to set up.
