As title says, I'm having a bit of a problem. I need to get Homebrew menu to work on my sysnand so I can run pastacfw so I can install cias on SysNAND, you know for GBA games and such. Problem is, homebrew menu refuses to work on my SysNAND. It works just fine on my EmuNAND however. I'm on N3DS XL, SysNAND 9.2, ReiNAND 10.5. Any ideas what to do?

Sorry if this has been asked before >_<

How are you attempting to load it? Some sort of hax entry point or the HBL CIA?

A hax entrypoint, as I don't have the HBL CIA on my SysNAND, just my EmuNAND. I've tried both my ninjhax and browserhax.

EDIT: It may be worth noting that I am running menuhax with ctr boot manager to get into my ReiNAND. Idk if that's causing a conflict?

Sorry, but you've not really included enough information, so I'm gonna have to hammer you with questions.

Is this the first time you've tried accessing the HB menu after downgrading? If so, delete the payload off of your SD root.

Where exactly is it falling? Yellow screen or browser error? Seeing as ninjhax isn't working for you as well, it really seems like an incompatible payload, but I figured I'd ask.

I've accessed it just fine on my EmuNAND, if that makes a difference?

Maybe it's cause I have the payloads for 10.5 on my sd, since I use it on my EmuNAND? But would that mean I have to delete them and get 9.2 everytime I want to use it on SysNAND? And the delete and get 10.5 every time to use it on EmuNAND?

As far as where it fails, If I try, for example browserhax, it loads into ctr bootmanager fine, but when I click on HBL in ctr, the top screen goes black and the bottom screen is red.

I'm assuming you have menuhax since you're using a bootloader. If that's the case, then the payload version should always match your SysNAND version. Anyway, hope that solves the issue.

If you've got hbl running on emunand, don't delete the payload, it won't make a lick of difference.

How, exactly, are you trying to run hbl?
He mentioned that above; through browserhax. And yes, he needs to delete the 10.5 payload and replace it with the 9.2 one since that's the firmware his SysNAND is running.

Actually, you're right. I don't know why I was thinking the filename listed the firmware type. All I know is that I've got hb access in both sysnand and emunand. So, the payload would be the issue.. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

@Bjnido35 you have menuhax working. With ctrbootmanager.
And can access emunand.

You already have hax working.

ADD A FRICKEN HOMEBREW LAUNCH OPTION TO CTRBOOTMANAGER AND MAKE SURE YOUR BOOT OPTION IS SET CORRECTLY AS IN NO SPELLING ERRORS

Yeah, this is a good point. Beer made me entirely forget this is an option. Don't drink and homebrew, kids.

Using the HB menu from the bootloader loads it in SysNAND. But like I said, replace your payload. Or did you try that?

I am about to do that, but I just realized....dumb question here, but how exactly do I GET that payload... >_<

If you are able to launch emunand then it's not the payload. Cause that's what loads the boot manager and emunand in the first place.

And it works from emunand so it's not the boot file.

That truly honestly makes me thing it's bad settings in ctrbootmanager.

http://smealum.github.io/3ds/ Just select the 9.2 version from the dropdowns. :)
No no no. If using menuhax just have to use menuhax manager.
