Currently there are 2 patches (EU only):

Battery percent in status bar (statusbatpercent)
This patch replaces date in statusbar with battery percent. It is not possible to display "%" character, so it shows battery percent as ":35:" instead.

Battery icon in status bar with 25% bars (statusbaticon)
This patch makes the battery icon display each bar as 25% of battery charge.

It needs Luma3DS with game patching and optionally exheader patching from latest release (otherwise you need to patch SM checks on each boot).

It is only available for EU home menu as that is what I have, but it can be easily ported to other regions.

Is it possible to swap the positions of time and percent? It would make sense for percent to be next to the battery to make it more obvious. Either way, great mod, and can't wait to see a US version so I can use it.

You need to have Luma that supports exheader patching (>=8.1.1) for the patched exheader.bin to be used that have the needed mcu::HWC service allowed.

i was using a old patch version without exheader. now work properly

Another question...how u can use the two patches simultaneusly?

greetings

Why can't you display the % character? Does it use printf?
You can display a % character in printf by using %% instead.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme
