you're joking right?
Bethesda had arguably the worst (maybe 2nd worst EA was pretty bad) E3 showing.

they talk about there crappy mobile cardgame they are re-launching(if it was good you wouldnt need to re-tool and relaunch it)

Blades - a 2nd mobile game that might be fun but its simple because its a mobile game

a crap ton of time spent on ESO which for years was crap and only recently has gotten near "good" but its still a MMO

rage 2- e3 impressions are its more of the same with little new inovations, since the 1st one didnt do to well im predicting the best part of rage 2 was Andrew WK's performance on stage

fallout 76 - a crappy allways online fallout game except 32 max players per instance so no benifits of a MMO, building mechanics (because that was so great in fallout 4 :/ ) and to top it all off no NPCs/real missions its just auto generated Radient missions (think the infinate missions in syrim or preston garvey missions in FO4)
modern fallout became popular as a singleplayer narative sandbox. this has no real naritive and is not singleplayer they are alienating there base.

but dont worry they did announce starfield (a game leaked lastyear) as nextgen (so probably 2020 minimum) and then being release sometime after starfield, elderscrolls 6 which suprised no one.

to be fair they also announced Doom Eternal (doom 1.5 cause they didnt want to commit to a full doom2 yet)

Wolfenstein Youngblood which is not a full sequel but a spinoff standalone DLC style which will no doubt be fun but it stars BJ's twin daughters in the 80's so that means it will either take place in a seperate timeline (thus being inconsequential) or we know BJ failed thus real numbered sequels are naritively borked.

no mention of new evil within, dishonored etc.

anyway rant over, you get the idea im sure im missing something but its been a few weeks since the conference so im just going off memory
i can't understand how you can destroy games like that when you didn't played them. Wait for them to be released and play them. Than you can say if they are really bad

but this was a ds game originaly. so it needs a much smaller capacity cartridge and there have been 40 dollar physical switch games iirc

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

you do relise that multi switch gimmik is an entirely separate special mode in of itself right?
if they make hd textures every where it will have a massive size, models don't make a game size textures do, that's why 4k games are like 90gb its the same models but with 4k textures, so yes on ds it was tiny because of ultra low res textures because of the tiny ds screen resolution really, on switch they can put everything on hd textures and make the game quite beefy.

those are pretty much the same textures from the mobile version they show in the trailer. and the game doesn't pass 3 gigs

poken is 3.2 gb and a port and came out at 60$

lots of switch games are small due to company's not wanting to pay for higher size cartridges, stuff like mario rabbids, kirby and so on dont even reach 3gb.

ya, but that's including Nintendos great compression to shrink the size plus it is clearly a higher budget game.

Don't worry I will
Didn't say they were bad, just stating the facts that their E3 conference was not impressive, compared to most other conferences this year
Also for a company famous for single player games what they had to show did not inspire confidence.

Fallout 76 is a project Bethesda developers couldn't do alone and hired folks who works on Star Wars Online and Ultima Online. The idea was that they wanted to give Fallout 4 multiplayer but didn't know how because of how these single player games work and have worked since Elder Scrolls Arena.

Specifically speaking of the protagonist whom they call "Atlas". They call the player character "Atlas" because they hold the world on their shoulders, in terms of plot and literally in the game engine. Cells load around Atlas. The world revolves around Atlas and nothing truly triggers on it's own without some interaction from Atlas. This was the problem.

Fallout 76 is Bethesda's testing ground for eliminating this reliance on Atlas and creating a world where multiple players can exist. The game has to be online only because they also wanted the world to fluctuate with participants than remain static like an Age of Empires LAN party. You might consider Fallout 76 an enhanced remake of Fallout 4 engine since it is a rewritten engine to cater to the new system.

Honestly, people who call everything ports do not understand the complex work that goes into making video games.
