ROM Hack Help!

So, i have a nintendo dsi, which is like 6 yrs old and i hacked it about a month ago and have been playing pokemon, castlevania roms. today, i opened up a pokemon black rom(hacked, fanmade) and on the "nds bootstrap" screen, it said "an error has occured". i checked another forum, and on it rocketrobz, the legend himself wrote:

"Sounds like the ROMs got corrupted.
Try replacing the ROMs, and delete the "fatTable" and "patchOffsetCache" folders in "sd:/_nds/nds-bootstrap"."

i did this, but the error persisted. i'm really deep into the game. Any other suggestions?

Hello.

Your Savegame(s) are not affected if you do what @Robz8 suggested.
To be sure,back it up and copy it back if you get a new Rom.

If you have this issue on other Games too maybe you have a more serious aftereffect.
Maybe your SD Card is corrupted or even maybe "defect".

Please check it of Errors with a Tool for example with H2testw.

You can also try to re-format your SD Card and do the Softmod again with the HiyaCFW Helper.

Please note your NAND Backup of your DSi is required for this !

Before you do anything please backup your Savegames and Roms (but please note,they can be corrupt if your SD Card has issues).

its only happening with one rom, thankfully. i shall do what you suggested.

Update: its happening on all roms.
I'm using that tool you linked, and its running presently.
