Hacking HELP with USBLoader with Game Images (all questions regardin installat

app\usbloader\img\bg.png (background)

use:

surceHBC.dol for HBC
surceforWAD.dol for forwarder and wad channel

it is a forwarder. Use that.

It is a channel but is forward to you app\usbloader\boot.dol. If a new version of the boot.dol cames out you just replace it and do not have to uninstall this channel.

I see, so if there is no SD card it won't load anything?
And this forwarder is in WAD format so I just install it with the WAD Manager normally?

...couldn't we run WiiWare and VC games like this on 3.2 from an SD Card? lol

yes it ia a wad and can be run with WADmanager. Not sure.

I made a typo: should be app\usbloader\images\yourcovers.png

there's a ton of folders and a bunch of dol files but no WAD, one of them is SourceforWAD.dol but that's a dol.

WiiWare and VC games are WADs, not DOLs. This wouldn't work the same way, if at all!

Since the post is 35+ pages is there a specific link to the actual .dol files for the loader?
I've looked and see just the one complied by raptor, but I know there are others (least it appears there are).

I've seen MANY people ask this same question, yet no one has answered it, so here I go asking it too.


Has anyone successfully make a WAD out of this? I tried, I got a code dump. If you have, which Dol did you use? I tried the one that said it was for a wad.

you cannot make a WAD of a Image Cover USB Loader because the code tells it to look for images in the same folder! If you install it as a WAD then it will point to a location on the wii system memory and therefor fail to load the images

Best way would be to modify the code to look off the SD card rather than its own directory

put in apps folder, not app, hbc wont recognize app folder.

this is where i am now.

apps\usbloader\images

i got my background showing up, i have a noimage.png and blank.png in my images folder as well as all the covers as well

everything shows up but the game covers, is there a reason they arent showing up?

i tried both the forward channel and the dol in hbc, same results

thats how it should be right?

apps\usbloader\images with only images folder and dol in usbloader folder?

i just dont get why its not showing up
