Hacking HELP with USBLoader with Game Images (all questions regardin installat

thanks for all the info, this works like a charm and the forwarder is a good enough substitute for a WAD Channel for me.

just one thing, in the rar you'll find this

this contains two folders

images
apps\usbloaderModnIxx

To make it work with the forwarder you have to RENAME usbloaderModnIxx to usbloader
after that just move the images folder to apps\usbloader

Now install the forwarder and copy your usbloader to your SD card, put a bunch of boxarts or screenshots whatever you prefer in apps\usbloader\images and it all works perfectly.
I THINK the images have to be PNG files, but I'm not sure

did you place the images in the usbloader folder? if you place the images folder outside that they won't show up.
They also have to be named after the right code thing for the game, just connect the HDD/Flash Drive with your PC and look over the codes manually if those image packs don't work.

Since I'm still using my 16GB Verbatim USB Flash drive and only have 10 games on it I just went over to GFAQs, got boxarts from there, resized them, converted them to PNG and named them according to each of the codes

i have images in images folder inside usbloader folder

so images are in apps\usbloader\images

run app, background loads, everything else loads, but no images appear

all images are png, all from kosaic, and should be no problem at all

inside images folder i have the bg.png and the noimage.png as well as about 50 game cover images

size is 160 x 225 just like kosaic did it. all named correctly.

what can i be doin wrong here for these images to not show up?

just a question, if I want to put the "No image" image, just put in the subdirectory apps\usbloader\images a "noimage.png", right?
Or I have to rename it in someway, like background.png-->bg.png??

I use nIxx's mod...

i get code dump error used sourceforWAD.dol in wadder to make the channel works perfect but when you start it you get code dump bs. i tested the loader in the hbc it works sort of the game list appears and even the covers show up but the damn background doesn't!

Just follow instruction from my first post, then install HDDforwarder.wad with wadmanager. That is it you do not have to do anything else.

Images go in root of SD in folder images.
I change how the loader mounts to sd in usb-loader.c. Also I made the menu.c unmount the sd when a game is selected to boot.
For Ocarina I didn't found the codes when I made the changes. So I made fst.c mount the sd after you chose the game and then unmount if it doesn't find codes or if you select to applied the codes to umount after the codes ha been loaded.
