k i finally got my External IDE Case and LG 8161B drive working, i bought the 8161B specifically cause i heard it's the fasted at dumping Wii games. When i tried it today was dumping at 950MB an hour and had 5 hours to finish dumping one game. the game was Blast Works btw. Is this normal so i know if i should just return everything i bought, cause theres no way i'm leaving my laptop on for 5 hours everytime i wanna dump game. if not, what am i doing wrong and how can i dfix it? i heard the External IDE to USB thingie slows things down but i didn't expect this much, i think someone said if it's hooked up normally to a PC tower it takes anywhere from 40 min to 1 hour and a 30 min depending on the game.
i bought this so i didn't have to leave my Wii on for 3 hours to dump a game over wifi but i think it's the better option, it's long but at least it's free, where as this, cost me $110 all up and it's just no worth it if thats how long it'll take.
