Hacking Help with PNY 32 GB MicroSD on r4i Gold 3DS

I got my flashcard in the mail today from nds-card, and its the R4i Gold 3DS that supports a SDHC microsd. I have the latest version of the wood firmware on the card, but when I run the card from the 3DS menu, it goes to a black screen, changes to white for a few seconds, then stays black forever. I can confirm that it isn't the flashcard itself, as my old 2 GB SanDisk works, and it boots and plays games fine. Is there anyway to fix the microsd so it will work, or am I shit out of luck and need to get a new one?

3DS Firmware is v8.1.0-19U
Wood R4i firmware is the latest, v1.64

Ah, I formatted it 3 times and even used chkdsk. Should I format it a certain way? I tried FAT32 with 16 byte allocation. Thats what the 2GB one that works is also formatted to.

To format try using this https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/ (try to overwrite with zeroes, and select format adjust or w/e)

If that fails it can very well be that SD card.

No problem! make sure you use that tool from now on to format your SD cards. It works better than Windows.
