Seriously, it's been literally the best resource to fetch games up to Wii for years. No annoying ads nor filelockers to deal with.

Yet I still see that the downloads are blocked for Nintendo games, are they ever going back up?

just find somewhere else, not like vimm's is the only site.

Gotta say this is a useless thread.... The first post on Vimms page states they are gone for good and why.

As it was also big news when it happened, I'm sure it would also be big news if they did decide to bring them back. This is the life of a pirate im afraid... Gotta keep sailing those seas...

I afraid about Vimm's Lair is going to abandon. Many warez websites are going to dying soon like end anytime now due to high servers cost, software upgrade/replace, internet bills (ouch!), other different maintenance to fix something needed (database, fix errors, etc) and face many law / legal threats from governments / federal, take them to court to pay fines, can get shutdown or go out of business, etc. Very sad. :(

Example when people looking for ROMS on search engines like Bing, Google, Duckduckgo, Yahoo, etc:

Search engines are give us between on normal websites and deep websites (where some mix good warez (know trusted scene names are good which release out clean files) and bad warez (many bots, malwares, spywares, ransomwares, etc bundle with files together to do nasty damage & mess up your computers and other devices very bad).

About Dark websites (know call onion) are extreme dangerous than deep websites (warez level based) because of many bad / evil hackers, bad governments love to spy on you all of times and other bad private agents. It's don't matter hackers can collect your personal info and break in your all accounts without your knowledge & without warning then your accounts will hacked then lock out can't do recovery anymore. Only can access on Tor internet program. I don't recommend it if people know advanced security skills and took their own risks. Dark websites do have hidden of heavy script java background backdoor malware coding that's can drop or plant malware on your computers or other devices when people search / visit them. Very dangerous! :(

If there were just a site that were excluded from DMCA for preservation of video games.
the DC++ network has loads of users sharing roms..... There are users with 150 terabytes of data. one hub on direct connect has over 4 petabytes of shares. its crazy.
Look at these USERS For example:

Be that as it may, this is why i go by the philosophy of downloading all the sets of roms before its harder to get stuff. That way I have them all for the consoles i want and then it does not matter if the sites go down. no DMCA can get my stuff. I'm not dumb enough to store it in the cloud.
Users on this very forum would talk shit to me when i would download nds roms before you could use them.

Point is just get them while you can then dont worry about it. Dont just download one nds game, download them all. simple logical solution. Using public wifi is great for hiding your identity. Specially when you use fake mac addresses and linux..... and vpns lol

Warez websites are usually filled to the brim with malware and ads and they never host anything themselves. It takes as little as 10 bucks a month to make your own warez website. Let’s not pretend that these people are saints.

The real essence of piracy has always been and will always be torrents.

Ah, the "NAS Go BRRRRRR" approach. I use a combination of that and a three-dimensional red plumber square.

Ugh, seriously, US copyright law needs to be reformed really bad and 95 years is moot since video game move to next generation, so old hardware and their games no longer sold.

I hopefully Nintendo gets brutal revenge like hackers did with Sony in 2011.

The title is a bit of a pointless question, we're on the same page that it's all Nintendo published and or licensed games that are gone, so that basically just leaves Sony, Sega, etc. and i doubt any of them give a dime about roms sites at this point, the only time sony cared about anything remotely related about this kinda thing was the old lawsuit against the ps1 emulator and thats kinda it, anyone is free to correct me

Sega told Vimm's Lair to remove almost all Sonic games and ESA (Sony and Konami are members of ESA) told Vimm's Lair to remove all of Castlevania series and Metal Gear series.

Nintendo is awful, also ESA is massive evil association - if you look at their politics, you will know about what means. If Nintendo didn't, so ESA will do it.
