So i've had the homebrew channel for quite some time for Project M and playing wii WBFS files on USB loader GX.

I've given DIOS MIOS a try, installed the newest version with WAD manager 1.7. I've also used the installer that came with DIOS MIOS to install a compatible game on to my 8gb usb stick. The stick is in FAT32 format with 32kb clusters as required. My IOS is the correct version and everything is fully up to date.

My issue is that when i connect the fat32 stick to the wii, GX finds zero games, despite it detecting the drive and telling me what space is left.

I suspect the problem isnt in the loader or dios mios, but I have no idea what to do at this point. Any help given would be extremely appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
What is your version of usb loader GX ?
Can you select the kind of thing to be displayed ? (channels, GC games, Wii games, Emunand)
Where are your gamecube games ?
Games must be in folder USB:\games\"whatever"\game.iso

USBLoader GX 3.0 R1218 (Tried with 1215 as well to no avail)

    DIOS MIOS v. 2.10

Yes I can and I checked Wii and GC and it finds nothing.

Gamecube games are in games\(code)\game.iso like you said.

Nothing seems out of place. Not sure if its a bad setting or i'm missing something or what.

I didn't check if it's possible to modify the path in the loader...
Did you try to remove the file configurations an start again with a blank one ?
Maybe you configs files are too old and something is not compatible.

I don't follow. What files do I need to delete and where are they?

Did you use DMToolBox to patch those games in to your USB Stick? I use a 8GB USB Stick and it works perfectly, also don't use USB Loader GX, mine detects GCN games but always asks to copy them off to the SD Card, so I use WiiFlow for GC games and USB Loader GX for Wii games.

Yes, I did use DMToolBox to patch them to the usb, and mine is 8gb as well. I have never tried WiiFlow before, so I suppose i'll try it. I'll report back on if it worked or not. I can already say that CFG USB loader did not work so i'm not expecting WiiFlow to work either.

CFG USB Loader didn't worked for me either, only WiiFlow did.

Also, on DMToolBox choose your games folder on your USB Stick and tick the box ''Optimised'' instead of ''RAW''.

i play gc games through cfg,

The only modified .dol I ever used was for GX. CFG is simply the newest version I could find on an official website, and it couldnt find any games either.

Also to Yepi69 I did indeed use optimized 32kb format for the game.

If its of any relevance the game I am trying is Paper Mario: the Thousand Year Door.

Sorry for double post but good news and bad news incoming.

Good news is that WiiFlow detects my game...somehow. Hooray!

The bad news is that I cant seem to get it to run. When I have the loaders set to "default" it shows the DIOS MIOS screen with the gamecube logo for a bit, then freezes on a black screen. When loader is set to "MIOS" it shows the same logo, then plays the gamecube game actually in the wii. And when i set it to devolution it crashed.

Perhaps I am missing a plugin I need? I have a legit GCN disc in the wii, a GCN memory card and controller, so it isnt that. I might try downloading devolution to see if it would work.

Thank you so much. Downgrading DIOS MIOS to 2.6 has fixed it and it runs perfectly now!

Does anyone have any idea why 2.10 didn't work? Is it a wiiU thing?

No it's not a Wii U thing . I don't know exactly around 2.9 and 2.10 I started having issues with different hdd's and different Wii 's . DM 2.6 works on ever Wii I have installed it in and most hdd.

Probably because you are using 3.0 instead of r1218

If you update from 3.0, verify that the "GameCube Main Path" is correctly set to "USB1:/games" after updating to r1218.

So I gave thousand year door a try, and unfortunately it crashed on the first loading screen after creating a file.

Are there settings that need tweaking? Or is it the fact that its an optimized iso and not a raw one?

I'm using a real gamecube memory card. I didnt have a save to begin with and it created one.

Any idea as to what settings need to be changed?

make sure the memory card is in slot A
    turn off nmm
enable no disc any other options that aren't needed.

also might want to download diosmios booter and use it and see if it might be your loader.
