Hacking Help, unable to get online connection with wiiu to do the hack

I got a problem. I am trying to get the 5.5.1 switch online to do the hack. It can see the network device but unable to get to the internet to run expolit. Back then i might have done something to my router to ensure wiiu won't connect online but I forget what i did. I already deleted the mac filter and i forget what el;se was there. I am using ddwrt btw

Did you block websites in parental controls on router.
Or on Wii u did you block DNS?

I might have done something to the mac address blocking and the nintendo website thing and wan access but i delete both of those. What i remember was: I set it up so the wii u won't ever connect online so it can;t get update but when my brother bring the switch back to his house he didn;t do the precaution and it updated to 5.5.1, which was unhackable 2 years ago. then he leave it alone and now he want me to rehack it
