Hacking help please!

Im a real noob at this stuff. i Bought R4 Sdhc in korea. I was trying to play Pokemon Ranger: Guardian signs on my DS but it goes through the Nintendo and Creatures logo but it stays black. can anyone help me? Btw My R4 has www.R4Ultra.com on the bottom

Well there's four ways to get newer ROMs working.

A - New firmware.
B - Alternate firmware.
C - Patches for the ROMs.
D - A new cart.

If A is out of the mix, your next bet is alternate firmware (instead of the official). YSMenu is a popular "universal" firmware, but last I checked it hasn't been updated since earlier this year, so it wouldn't play later games with new AP. You can perhaps try Wood, that's made for R4 carts, but it doesn't run on most R4 clones (and yours is a clone).

Gotta' run, I'll leave somebody else to finish this.

try this?
- Backup you files.
- Format your micro SD card.
- Copy all files from Retrogamefan's last release on / (root) of you card : /TTMENU/, TTMenu.dat, TTMENU.SYS
- Rename TTMenu.dat to what your R4 clone's kernel uses (iLL.iL, R4.dat, R4i.TP, etc...). Mine uses iLL.iL so I renamed TTMenu.dat with that name.
- Put the micro SD card into your linker, then turn on your DS and say "woaaaaaw"

If it boots fine, then you can copy your games/homebrews on your card and play!

just google for the files of retrogamefan

I try to extract it to the R4 but it says "The system cannot find the file specified."

i boot the TTmenu.Nds on my R4 and it just has a little thing in the lower left corner spinning around. Nothing happens after. plz help! i really wanna play pokemon ranger guardian signs

I did it but when i try to boot up my R4 it stays at Loading...
