ROM Hack Help i am a newbie

Hello and hi
srry yep another noob ill get straight to the point
i have a
DS lite
1 GB of CF memory card and (writer of coarse)
M3 Movie player (CF Version)
and a Max media launcher

i dunt know how to play the nds roms soo i would

apprecaite any 1 that is willing to help me

yea thanx for repleing and i am doin wat i am suppose to do it just load with black screens

the only way i can play a nds game is to patch it so the end of it would look like this .nds.gba and the game loads and all but it never saves
thats the gay part
