You should be safe if you stick with Luma which has firm protection. A9LH has survived many firm protection. When a new update comes out wait a couple days and check on here, people normally check and report here.

You mean Autoboot SysNAND? You tick "Autoboot SysNAND" in the config. You get to the config by holding select when you press power.

If you mean EmuNAND then there is a section III step 5 in plailect guide that walks you how to move this to SysNAND: https://plailect.github.io/Guide/move-emunand
