I personally own the Oculus Rift CV1 in late 2017~, and the Oculus Quest 2 in 2020.
Why do I only own Oculus headsets? Well fun fact: Oculus was an amazing innocent company before the Facebook acquisition :P

What headset(s) do you have? When did you get them? If you have multiple, which is your preferred one?

I jumped on Vive v1 the second pre-orders opened, so I got that whole setup back in 2017. Then I backed the Pimax 5K early bird on Kickstarter, and once I received that I sold the Vive HMD. So now I'm running with a Pimax 5K + deluxe audio strap from Vive, Index controllers, and Vive base stations. Obviously it was a bit on the pricey side altogether, but I think it's pretty much the best consumer VR setup available, or at least the best one that my PC is capable of powering.

I just found that the Vive was a better expirience. It helps when there's no wires holding you back.
But the Vive did have wires?
Do you remember the specific models by chance?

That is indeed a very great setup. Any interest in fullbody tracking?

Not at the moment, too little support for it among games/apps right now.
Honestly I feel like it increases immersion so much, that it’s worth it even if you just do VRchat or maybe Skyrim.

I have the Rift CV1. If I had reliable wireless, I think I'd get a Quest 2. I love my CV1 but the wires are starting to drive me crazy!
My number one suggestion is getting a pulley system. A pulley would hold the wire up and keep it out of reach, really makes a difference, and most likely won’t affect anything else in your space negatively. Just make sure to spin the headset back every time you’re done.

I only recently got a headset, so I got a Quest 2. It was the cheapest one that I felt comfortable buying. Plus, Oculus brand name recognition lol.
Welcome to the club! :3

I started off with those cheap headsets that use your smartphone, which gave me a bad view on VR as a whole because I never experienced its true potential. After I had tried one of those setups at my mall with actual VR equipment I found it so comfortable and fun that I had to buy one. I saved up and bought a Rift S which was great and I had a lot of fun with it. My computer has the minimum specs for it though so games like VR Chat run like dogshit, but it runs steady for other games. I don't think I'll be buying from Oculus though because of the Facebook acquisition but for right now it's fine.
