Hello,

I picked up a WiiU, and installed Coldboot Haxchi on to it. (5.5.2)

For now i only have 32GB SD, i want to buy a HDD for games.
I plan to buy a internal drive and use a case with USB and power supply.

Can i use the same HDD for WUP Installer GX2 installs and GC/Wii games?

What is the maximum storage that is compatible with WiiU?

Thanks in advance.

Try this, use it to install WII games and Gamecube games to the WII U HDD and you can play with gamepad too.

Thanks for the fast reply.

Do i understand this correctly?
With this tool i can create .wup files from GC/Wii .isos.
Then install them with WUP Installer GX2.
Now i am able to launch them from WiiU homescreen.

Does this method work with the USB to 4-Port GameCube Adapter?
I'm not a huge fan of the WiiU GamePad.

Yes, that is what the tool does. If you are playing gamecube games, it should work with the WII U gamecube usb accessory, but not with the wii games. The gamecube games work by loading Nintendont which is a homebrew in Vwii mode that plays gamecube isos, the homebrew has variety of settings and support for HID and usb gamecube controls. Wii on the other hand doesn't from what I know so you will have to use either a wiimote with nunchaku or the wii u gamepad. When you use the tool, make sure you set the option for using the gamepad or not, depending if you don't want to or do. Enabling Gamepad will disable any other controller use.

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
