@artlan: You could try to reinstall IOS58.

That's actaully what I'm about to try doing

I got it to work bu using a GC controller, but then I got the "No Vulnerable" message, so did a little more reading and tried IOS34 first but it didn't work. So gonna try 58 now. (Yay Dop-MII)

Edit: Wonderful it worked

Yay google, gbatemp, and of course Fix94 for his agreeing reply

Anyone els having problems running EMUs Genesis Plus and SMS Plus
after installing homebrew channel v1.0.8, im getting USB unaccessible.

SNES9X and all others made by Tantric are working great.

Mine is still upside down: even though I uninstalled/reinstalled it AND it is running on an unmodified IOS58. I even used Darkcorp uninstaller to make sure no hacks are in my IOS. But no. Still upside down.
Any suggestions? I hate this. It was right side up before I went to 4.3 (through Nintendo's official update).

0.8 just Killed the Use of my HDD. On 0.7 it worked great..

Something odd i went back to HBC 0.7 where my HDD was working
but it seems to not work with that not as well.. very odd .

the install i used when it was working was HBC 0.7b

The drive never worked on the channel is self (or with emulators) except with configurable. Mostly I just want to use it for configurable (no duh . . .), emulators ((S)NES, n64, genesis, GB(C|A), PS1, etc), (x)NEEK. . . . if only my last Wii hadn't gotten stolen.

Kinda lame, as I use USB for copying ISOs for RawkSD imports, plus I use USB for watching video files...

Anyway to put that update notification on ignore?

Why don't you want to update?

Any estimation when the "cleaning" of WiiBrew is finished? I think the direction is: Use the official update + don't use/have patched IOS. So the following apps are useless:
Preloader, requires a patched IOS or can't be installed (priiloader should work without patched IOS, but on 4.3 without patched IOS currently not possible to install)
Startpatch, requires a patched IOS
AnyTitle Deleter, requires a patched IOS or can't delete stuff
AnyRegion Changer
GCBooter, without patched IOS, the required cMIOS can't be installed

Gecko OS, partly: Rebooter and Ocarina/Wiird on VC/WiiWare requires a patched IOS
FSToolbox, partly: Only very limited nand access without patched IOS

Did i miss some apps?

Also, i think i can burry my hopes to put my homebrew cMIOS patcher on WiiBrew, which is required for my Gecko OS mod to run Ocarina/Wiird on gamecube retail discs.

Because MediaPlayer CE uses those cIOs for USB2 support.

It uses IOS 202, not a patched IOS58. The homebrew channel doesn't mess up on custom IOSes at 202, 222, 249, etc.

@WiiPower : As it seems, cios using applications are not removed. Only those apps that are used to install patched ios like DopMii and similar apps, possibly your TBR too...

TBR is gone. Apps that use patched IOS, not necessarily cIOS, are pointless if you don't have an option to install patched IOS.

Well some of these apps behave correctly on older system menu actually such as any region changer, any title deleter, gecko os on 3.2... Still the deletion seems to be the first step somewhat means "Change these apps so that they use full hardware access instead of relying on a patched ios "... In the second step maybe those apps that rely on a ios with flaws would be deleted...

If you watch wiibrew forums actually you can estimate the motives behind this move.

Here is the deal, new updates or disk updates stub these. I don't usually allow that to happen, but it if does, I don't have an easy path to install with 1.08.
