am I the only one not able to run homebrew browser from usb drive since 1.0.8 ?? usb not connecting

I've never gotten Homebrew Browser to run strictly from USB on even the older versions of HBC. I cant get Bootmi cfg Editor to work from USB either

I'm going to take a look at making this run from USB, if it doesn't work in v2.5, then it shouldn't take much doing! Still - given that bootmii needs an SD card, it would seem sensible to have this on the SD card where you might want to edit the ini? unless I'm missing something?

Alright if you say that 1.0.8 is safe to udpate dude then please link me the priiloader that works in conjunction with 4.3 WAN and 1.0.8. I will test it out but make sure it has nothing related to "a new mutiple volume setup". All of those priiloaders have been giving me that error since it set it up or it wouldn't load at all. And I need the hacks.ini l too please. Then I'm off and won't be here for awhile. Once again I will have 1.0.8 once I update this and have 4.3 WAN. I need a priiloader that works for those. And what should I install on the priiloader (steps please)? Thanks!

Alright so I download both of them and the instructions for installing priiloader will be self explanatory? Assuming this works for 1.0.8 and 4.3 WAN and doesn't have a multi volume set requirement associated with it,

How long do you think until they start blacklisting apps from HBC?

They aren't...

Plus, it would be very hard to (if not impossible).
I wish when people made blanket statments like the above, they'd take the time to explain their reasoning or the technicalities. First of all, 'they aren't'? Since you say 'they', I assume that doesn't include 'you', in which case how do you know what they are really going to be doing. For all you know, Nintendo has finally responded to their 'reaching out' while also reaching for their checkbook. Everyone has a price. Everyone. Do they release their source code, and if not, no one can say with 100% certainty what their app can or cannot do. And I'd find it hard to believe that an app that 'phones home' every time it runs couldn't blacklist certain apps if they chose to do so. Do you know what 'statistics' they transmit back home, or whatever else they feel like? Maybe they're just waiting for X amount of Wiis with their hack on it before they release the 'ultimate' Easter egg, on behalf of Nintendo.

Has any other console hacking team 'reached out' to the respective manufacturer to help them secure their system?

No telling what these folks are capable of or what their motives were or are. I know...they'd never lie to anyone about anything and their anti-piracy zeal is nothing to be concerned about. They'd never pull a move like that other coder I recently learned about who took it upon himself to deliberately sabotage users' Wiis if his app found files he didn't approve of on them. Never...

Homebrew has always asked me to update and I wait and ask you guys if I should update and in this case you guys said yes so I will. That and 4,3 Wan was not too new. This priiloader you listed via download better work and not give me an error. Do I need to hold down B and - at the same time or no? When loading the second option it didn't work on the wii mote and only worked on the GCN controller by pressing A.

You know HBC has always checked for updates, right? This isn't a new thing.
Yes, I know. Doesn't change the premise of my post. And I seem to recall reading that it also collects 'statistics' or am I mistaking this app with another?

I just believe that blind faith in anything is foolhardy, including some relatively anonymous (and certainly immune from any real recourse for what their app may or may not do, today or tomorrow, other than that which is self-imposed) coders on the interwebz.

Nice to see such a quick fix for the bootdelay0 issue I had with the previous boot2... appreciate this one a lot and its great to be up to date on 4.3 and still have the homebrew. Brilliant.

I try to remember that teams such as these never have to release to the public (for free). I cannot understand why people would grief them, what's the problem exactly? I have read this thread but I don't get some of it. New update with fixes and enhancements.. this is all good news isn't it?

Anyway I just want to say thank you very much to the team for another update.

Wait which apps does 1.0.8 disable or delete? Tell me please. I don't want to lose guitars on fire or step mania.

they were removed from wiibrew.org not from your HBC.

So some lovely apps have been removed from Wiibrew.. that's too bad...

I don't think it is that big of a deal. Wiibrew has always been a sanitized, G-rated place to find out about what's going on. There are plenty of other places (most notably GBAtemp) where you can find out information about these apps, download them, and discuss.

Alright will do. Just to be sure they haven't deleted the important apps like savegame manager and brawl stats right? Please for the love of jesus christ do not delete biblequiz. Its my holy life!
