I recently started playing the Japanese version of Luminous Arc 2, but I found the lack of save games slots to be a huge issue for me. Hoping to expand my save game capacity (and also have a save game slot for my brother to try) I grabbed a copy of the nds file for LA2, but got myself stopped after the loading screen. Seems like the game detected I was using a "backup" as it described it.

I haven't updated my firmware since 2007 april, so I'm not sure if that is the issue, and the r4 website seems to be somewhat dead. Can anyone point me to the most recent firmware releases since last year?

If the firmware isn't an issue, (I was also trying out Soma Bringer as well) is there some other reason that it can't work?

Updating the R4 should indeed work, however, if the problem is still there, get a new cart....

An Acekard 2 is only 23 bucks....... Or the DSTT, which supports R4 saves, is only 21 bucks. These two babies can do a whole lot mroe than what the R4 can do.

Before I posted, I checked the R4 website out. It seems to be having some errors, as the firmware update pages don't want to load up at all. Not sure if it's due to my network or if the website hasn't been updated for a while.

Anyone here can point me towards a mirror site I could try?

@ojsinnerz: I doubt it's a hardware issue, but anyway, buying a new card isn't in my current list of options. Plus, short of buying one from overseas, getting an R4 around where I stay is a bit of an annoyance - seeing as it's been technically banned in my country and the only local sources around jack up the prices as a result.

Edit: forgot to mention. My firmware is currently at 1.07.

Well, I did mention the last time I updated, it was in April 2007. XD Haven't really been using many rom files. XD

Anyway, tis' all solved. Many thanks guys. XD

That's just what happened a few days ago here as well.... I live in Canada.

And like I've previously mentioned, updating should do the trick, and it did.

Meh, that sucks. I bought my R4 when it was only $44 in my currency and now the prices are like $120.
