Nope, not in any of them. I remember I got like 120-ish in Pokemon Red (I clocked in so many hours in that game... sooo many) but couldn't go past that. I remember I would spend hours online looking for how to get Mew, but at the time, all of the "Mew tricks" were fake. I guess there's a real way to get Mew now?

Yep. Me and my boyfriend between us owned almost all the versions (including the gamecube ones) and together we compiled and finished our pokedexes on my copy of Fire Red and his copy of Leaf Green. It only took us a few months and we were on a pokemon playing spree then anyways so it wasn't much of a burden

None of my friends had it, and no one was intrested in buying it, so I bought it from a dutch ebaylike site.

I completed all 493 last spring (mainly to please/impress my son, he's 7 I'm 50!). I/We had previously worked on Yellow, Gold, Ruby, and Leaf Green before getting both Diamond and Pearl, so I was able to get over 400 by catching/transfers/breeding/evolution, the rest were via online trading, and I'm sure that some of the things I traded for are AR hacks (eg. Arceus). Took me 240 hours.

I completed RED/BLUE/YELLOW without cheating.. well to get Mew my mate cheated and traded with a Caterpie but other than that I had all 151 from the original, had quite a few in Gold but thought the games went down hill from there on, tried playing the new Pokemon games and think... sucky.. badly drawn even weirder names and a huge collection of shite... oh well

I beat Pokemon blue without trading a single pokemon or any AR or gameshark. I just used the in game glitch of the trainer 1/ trainer 2. (Often used to get Mew) Scouted out trainers with the specials of the pokemon I needed. Truly Fulfilling. Although the Diploma you get at the end is not worth it. Another question is has anyone finished dragon warrior monsters completely? Full monsters... I know i have also. 96 hours. I think 215 monsters?

Now that is amazing!
All 493, dude, where did you get the inspiration and willpower to do that?

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

Waiting for Anbernic's rg[whatever]SP price announcement, gimme.

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
