I was wondering, has anyone ever completed the pokedex? Like catch every single pokemon...

I haven't caught them all, but I am sure most people have seen them all. [IMG]

I was a pokefreak a few years back, I completed the pokedex in Emerald. That took like, 2 years.

In Yellow, including Mew. AR? Hell, no. Catching the other version-exclusives was a breeze with the Mew Trick ^^.

Damn, that shit took up like 1/3 of the game to exploit.

I had everyone except mew in Red [IMG] I hate all those "Can't get it unless you....."
In sweden, we had to send our pkmn-cassettes to our "club nintendo" via mail... and that's not the most secure way to do something like that :S (OR go 400 miles somewhere to get it, and wait in line for a billion of hours)

So I didn't get them all, but was close.
Then in Gold, I got almost everyone again except the special ones.

with all these special pokemons I didn't want to play anymore above gold... [IMG]

In the 2 first generations - Yes

I didn't even bother playing the later games because the new Pokemons were more like freaks and less like actual Pokemon. That and I felt that the series needed some kind of evolution after the first 2 generations which never occured.

No need for such a thing, you could've just used the "flying-trick" to get Mew.

No, never had the patience for it....
But with Pokemon Diamond it could be possible eventually, thanks to the online trading.

Never, not even in Gen I.
I don´t think it is even possible without cheating. (In my opinion using the Mew glitch is also cheating)

In Gen II you needed Mew and Celebi, which you booth can only get at Nintendo Events.
I think in Gen III it was much easier to get a comlete Pokedex because there were five Games.
In Gen IV you can´t get Arceus, yet.

Yah but with the inability to trade for pokemon you haven't even seen (since friendly wireless battles don't even record the enemies pokemon) It will be hard, I guess we'll just have to wait and see if they make a G/S remake since it's hard to get Johto pokemon atm.

I got Red and Yellow done quite a few years ago and then I realized that Pokemon sucked. I still have Gold somewhere, and I might even have Ruby. And I still have Pokemon cards. I should sell them.

Yea. Wireless allows you to get any pokemon, but only the ones you have seen. It makes it even harder, but you have to be some pokemon freak to be able to see every pokemon in the whole pokedex [IMG]

Using Pokemon Bloody Diamond and trying to get them all (All 493 are on that one game). I doubt I'll do it though.

Yes in Gen 1, 2, and 3 without cheating and gen 4 with only Arceus being hacked.

I got the original 151 in Red, all except Celebi in Gold, and filled out the Hoenn dex in Ruby. Haven't bothered with the more recent ones.

    In red, yes..

    In yellow, yes..

In Emerald.. close to it but no

    In Diamond.. hell no..

The old 151 was quite hard but if you knew where and how to get the pokemon it was easy..
