Topic description says it all.

I've just unlocked Will by resurfacing Volcano Island. I took the opportunity to try and give him a Firefly Flower (his special item), but he says he can't accept it. I tried with the +300 points items (like colored grass, and even an apple), but he still says the same thing.

I tried using the max points cheat to see if he'd accept items after, but he still won't. Thankfully, I didn't save it.

It's not a universal problem, since I gave Vaughn fodder for his birthday and everyday I see him. He accepts it.

Anyone have any advise?

IIRC you have to talk to the character for about 3-4 days before they will start accepting gifts.

No problem. They did that in IoH...these two games are the only ones I haven't even bothered to get married in. Just didn't care for them.
