Sorry to disapoint. I've installed hall effects in the DualSense Edge with calibration boards back in the beginning of Oct.

Just installing HE analogs alone is useless. They dont have the correct range making them too sensative. Devil is in the detail!!

What? Dualsense Edge controllers aren't Hall Effect ones? What a bummer!

Will upgrade my Dualsense's at some point. I don't have a PS5, but I use them on PC.

IMHO having money for such a Pro controller, I'd rather buy original and proven analogs with Hall effect. Yes, you save money, but this controller is all about reliability, and with such a modification that is not strictly for this controller, you limit the range and sensitivity of the controller through calibration plates (as @AnHero wrote). So it does not cover the words Pro and reliable anymore.

So it's essentially a no-go?
Isn't there any way to make it work like the original?

Also, in regards to feeling, is there a notable difference?

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.
