Too bad they won't ever be able to fix the incompatible boot1 issues.
There's always the possibility that sometime down the line a breakthrough will be found that will fix this. Maybe not much chance, but it's still there.

it still doesn't work with my Kingston 8GB SDHC card? doesn't load into the BootMii screen at all

Does this fix the bug that you ccant use the reset / power / eject buttons in bootmii as an ios?

Edit: this sucks, i have cioscorp v2 so it says it cant find a vulnerable ios OMG why the HECK cant they JUST USE IOS249 SHEESH CAN SOMEONE LIKE EDIT THE INSTALLER SO IT CAN?????

WOW, don't you have the marcan mentality, cause something doesn't work for you or do what you want it to your ready to ban it.

Nice app, don't change a thing, thanks for the update.

i have CIOSCORP V3.1 installed along with bootmii at boot 2 with a few NAND backups, is there really much of a reason to update?

Cool update and probably really vital for some, but I don't see the point in updating from v0.2, personally

For me the mentality "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" is applicable. My Kingston 2GB boots well with 0.2 and I have been able to backup and restore my nand while it is installed as boot2. I guess this is for those users who have problems before, hopefully your problems will be fixed. I'm sticking to 0.2 since it might break my current perfect setup.

I am really glad to see an update for this program set. It is in my opinion one of the most important programs for the wii homebrew comunity (well if you can use it as boot2) it would have saved my 1st Wii if the nand would have written to my card.

I have to format my card fresh and try it 2 maybe 3 times for the nand.bin to populate on the card (transend 2gb) but now I know to look for that little bug the program is great.

I just did 2 backups the other day, I guess I have no reason to update at this time since v2 worked fine for me.

Can anybody tell me what the old IOS used to install was (I think 36?) and the new now more sane one?

Also I have no idea what GPIO is.

Actually I want to test it and update probably I just want to make sure I know how to update it correctly (just install over the top of the old one via running it in homebrew channel?)

I would assume updating by simply overwriting would work fine, but I may just run the old installer and uninstall before running this one just to be on the safe side.

Everything works fine for me as well as is (with v0.2) but only with my 2GB sandisk non-sdhc card. My 16GB a-data will not run bootmii from card, and has this slightly annoying issue of extending the boot time considerably when the card is in the slot on bootup...even without the bootmii folder on the card. Maybe this update will make it compatible. Off to test...

nice thanks for the confirmation one that, but is there any real different in bootmii conpaired to 0.2?

thanks

i just ran the new installer dude, when you install boot2 or IOS it auto uninstalls and then installs the new version anyway.

Cool! I did it the previous way, but same result. Installed fine, but the 16GB card still does not work. My boot time with it in is a little faster tho..

MAN did the nand backup process slow down. The 2GB card is dog slow now. I did test a minisd in an sd adapter (Transcend..from my old Treo 755p) that previously didn't work and it booted into bootmi and allowed backup (same slowness tho) and this is a good sign. I previously had no use for the card

I did notice the new nand backup is a few kb smaller than the last:

v0.2: 553,649,152

v0.3: 553,648,128

But again, if you add the seperated keys.bin file which is 1024k, you arrive at the same number as the older version's nand backup.

EDIT2:

Bootmii as IOS detects and works with my 16GB a-data card...something that it has never done before. Progress!

EDIT3:

Anybody willing to try a key.bin from the wii in question with a nand from another? Does it now look at simply a correct key.bin for the wii it is loaded on and from there accept the install of a foreign nand? Not something I plan on doing (scared about those bad block sections), but very curious!

Hi this is cool. As i could only install as an ios i was unable to control bootmii via buttons on the wii but with this release thay have finally fixed the problem so no need for a gamecube controller.
Well pleased as i have been waiting for this fix from day 1.. Exellent work guys

Who here wouldn't mind a new look GUI for the Homebrew Channel?

Skinable Homebrew would be nice. All i really want to see though is a way to go to the last page of Homebrew from the first page without going through all the pages first.

There is no arrow to go back on the first page
