Gentlemen,
I come from the Xbox scene, place where this have been possible
several times in the past. So I wonder...
Is there a way to patch, hack, modify, change WADs like:
Contra Rebirth, Gradius Rebirth, Castlevania Rebirth,
MegaMan 9 and MegaMan 10 to get rid of the bilinear
video mode?
The image is sooooooo blurry even under HD 480p...
Dios-Mios why they did that?
It could be wonderful to have such a way to change
the video mode in those great games.
Bilinear filtering is just a hardware feature that is
called from within the game core.
It must be a way to turn it off...
In the old great Xbox1 there was a tool used to
patch many homebrew and even games like
Street Fighter III to remove the bilinear filtering.
Also, it was possible to perform such operation
by HEX editing.
In common cases it might be just a function inside the
orginal game code that calls some sort of
BILINEAR_VIDEO_MODE = 1;
Any ideas?
Thanks for your attention!
