Hacking Hacking a 11.4 News3ds - how to do DSiWare

A friend of my wants his 3ds hacked.
Now I see the options the 3ds guide.
Soldering is not an option.

You have the all versions method
So getting a R4i-SDHC B9S will be the solution for that method.

Or the Installing boot9strap (DSiWare)
With a 1.99 euro game. And a sysnand/ctrtransfer ?

My own new3ds containts illegitimate games and is 256 GB.
My friend owns Pokemon Ultra moon on cart and only cares for Ultra moon, and Cheats. (wild pokemon modifier etc.)
His new3ds is 64gb

Now with a ctrtransfer how can I do when my 3ds is 256 and his is 64 gb???
He doesn't care for any other games. So getting a 256 gb for him is not really an option.
Can I just do the Ctr transfer anyway?

Nevermind I guess. I decided the R4i-SDHC B9S is a much cleaner method.. Won't risk a ctr transfer anyway. I have messed alot with my own hacked 3ds.. (like nand injecting and stuff)

Also you can reflash it later to use it as normal DS flashcard.

When you do a system transfer, it will tell you to move the SD card from the source into the target. The relative sizes do not matter.
